Begin in Silves, once the Moorish capital of the Algarve. Here, you’ll have time to explore the town’s historic center, visit its impressive red sandstone castle and cathedral (entrance not included) and stroll its narrow cobbled streets.
From Silves, ascend into the lush Monchique Mountains, stopping at the peaceful spa village of Caldas de Monchique, known for its mineral-rich springs. The journey continues to Fóia, the Algarve’s highest point at 902 meters, where panoramic views stretch across mountains to sea.
Descending into the countryside, pause for lunch in Marmelete — a small mountain village where you’ll enjoy a meal featuring regional dishes from the Algarve’s inland cuisine.
In the afternoon, the tour shifts toward the wild western coast. Discover the pristine beaches of the Vicentine Coast Natural Park, a protected area of rugged cliffs and unspoiled sands.
